The DIANA General Purpose Automatic Test Equipment (GPATE) is a deployable test system for the maintenance and repair of electronic assemblies. More than forty systems have been deployed in civil and military repair centres and operating bases, supporting battlefield equipment.
Forward repair of electronic assemblies close to the point of use dramatically improves equipment availability whilst reducing logistics costs. Especially in a military environment.
The DIANA test system is integrated into an ISO shelter, and is vehicle mounted for rapid deployment wherever it is required. As well as offering fully-automatic Test Program Sets (Automatic Test Packages) able to perform fully validated service-ability tests, it can be used in a manual mode to perform ad-hoc tests on electronic equipment for which Automatic Test Packages have not yet been developed.
With its original version coming into service with the UK military over 25 years ago, the current DIANA now encompasses decades of lessons learnt in real field deployments.
Equipped with the latest, high-end, test equipment DIANA is housed in a fully air-conditioned and NBC-proof container providing a safe and non-hostile working environment for the technical personnel manning the system.
